FINAL STRETCH GOAL announcement!

We're down to our last 9 days of this Kickstarter (can't believe we're in the single digits already!), and very close to the next stretch goal! While this upcoming goal will remain a secret until we unlock it at $33,333, I did want to go ahead and announce what the final stretch goal will be:

A Black and White version of the deck!

If we can reach $50,000, I can afford to make a limited edition of 2,000 black and white decks! Otherwise, this version will have to wait until I can raise more funds to print it in the future (likely in a year and a half or two years from now). This version of the deck will not have the white border (like the second edition), and it will sport black "gilded" edges instead of the matte gold. This version will only include the cards and a custom box and will not include the book. Since it is a limited run, it does make the cost per unit significantly higher, so the retail price will be set at $40. I don't foresee reprinting this version of the deck once it's printed the first time, so this would be a really special edition! 

There's no way I could possibly get it printed without the help of you, my amazing Kickstarter backers! If we meet our final stretch goal, I do plan to include an extra free Kickstarter-exclusive item for those that pledge for this version as a thank-you for making it possible.

I'll have the final box and book designs for the second edition very soon, so stay tuned for that update :)

Halfway there! Something special (and free!) for deck pledgers! Also a technical wording edit about card borders

We are already halfway through the Kickstarter! I can hardly believe it. Everyday is so exciting to watch! Thank you for helping this deck grow :)

Since we're halfway there, I'd like to add an extra treat for those that pledged for a deck: I'm including a Kickstarter Exclusive sticker with each deck ordered! So if you order 2 decks, you'll get 2 of these stickers.

I won't be offering these stickers anywhere else because I feel the need to add something special for the folks who are making this second printing possible. As we hit future stretch goals, I will be including more extras for those that pledged for decks! The next one will unlock once we hit our $33,333 stretch goal.

I'm also going to take this opportunity to correct something in the campaign that has caused some confusion. I've had a few people point out that the second edition is not borderless even without the white border. I can see now that I had used "borderless" incorrectly, so I will be switching the wording to "semi-borderless." The elementally coded borders that are carved into the original images will remain, but the white borders will be removed for the second edition. I have chosen to keep the colored borders to stay true to the original vision of the deck and to not interfere with the card's images. A third of the cards have important aspects of their images that overlap into those colored borders, which is a part of the divinatory interpretation of those cards. I hope that makes sense!

Everyone's continued support has been so amazing!! Thank you to all of my returning and new backers for making this thing possible.

I got an updated render of the box and book from Rob (the designer), which includes the gold edges on the cards. In this render it looks a little shiny, but the edges on the final product will have a matte finish to them.

We're also SO close to our next stretch goal, which gets unlocked at $22,222! Stay tuned my friends ✨

WHAT? Whaaaaaat??? Kickstarter backers, y'all are amazing!!! I am so overwhelmed with your support! Thank you, everyone, for making this second edition happen!

Since we've reached our goal, we've unlocked our first stretch goal, enamel pins! I've got 3 designs featuring the Empress, the Hermit, and the Sun. You can buy them individually for $8 each, or as a set of 3 for $20. 

These are high-quality soft enamel pins that have a matte black finish. On the back of the pins will be the Brady Tarot logo. Each will have two points of attachment, so they won't flip the wrong way when you're sporting them. They will each come attached to their own cute little cards, too!

I am so excited to see these pins in person, and I'll update everyone with pics once they arrive!

I've had a few questions about how to add onto your pledge, and there is a full description of this process near the bottom of the campaign's main page, under the heading ADD-ONS (just below Merchandise). If all that's really confusing, I will be using BackerKit to send surveys and continue taking pre-orders once the Kickstarter ends at the end of November, and it's super easy doing that through them. If you have any questions that are not answered by the FAQ, please do not hesitate to ask me!

p.s. This is seriously the best Halloween ever. I get to be that person and pass out full-sized candy bars to kids, wear a witch hat and myself while refreshing my browser. THANK YOU!!!

Dang, I cannot believe we hit 2 stretch goals in 24 hours!! You are all just amazing. Thank you, sincerely. 

The stretch goal at $12,345 unlocked a 10-pack of postcards for $20! These are full black bleed prints, and have a soft finish over the images much like the cards. You can either choose 10 images from the deck yourself, or get a "postcard reading" from me and let me randomly draw them for you! On the reverse is all the stuff you need to send postcards to your buds! People still do that, right?

I want to also update add-on shipping. I'm a little rusty on how all that worked out the last time, but I've gone back and reworked the table to make sure people aren't getting over-charged for shipping. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ADDED-ON AND HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGED, I WILL REFUND YOU the difference once the Kickstarter ends! I would do it sooner, but it's just not an option until the campaign is over. I apologize for not getting it right the first time and it being confusing, but we should be good now! I'm still kinda relearning this Kickstarter system.

Below is the new table for add-on totals.  To add-on something extra to your existing pledge, please add the total of cost of the item + shipping listed under your corresponding country (US, Canada/Mexico, or "everywhere else"). That is, the total which is listed after the x+y= under your country in this table. For example, adding on the postcards for US backers would be 20+0= $20. 

You will be able to assign your add-on total to the correct items and pick out what stickers/candles/etc you want once the Kickstarter ends and moves to BackerKit in early December.

I hope this answers questions! If it doesn't please comment below and I will try my best to get it cleared up for everyone. Again, apologies for being unclear/confusing, yesterday kinda had my head spinning all day!!

Next stretch goal unlocks at $22,222! I am really excited about that one :)
